Pottsville After Dark invites curious guests and paranormal enthusiasts to investigate historic sites throughout the city in a guided, hands-on experience. Each event offers a rare opportunity to explore locations with deep local history and lingering stories that have captured the imagination of visitors and historians alike.
Every investigation begins with an introduction to the location itself. Guests will learn about the site’s history, notable events, and the stories that have contributed to its reputation. From there, hosts will provide an overview of paranormal investigation techniques and demonstrate how to use common investigative tools.
Participants will then have the opportunity to take part in a guided investigation, using a variety of methods to explore and document unexplained activity within the space.
What to Expect
Each event in the series includes:
• A historical overview of the investigation site
• Discussion of documented stories and reported phenomena
• Introduction to paranormal investigation methods
• Instruction on how to use investigative equipment
• A guided group investigation of the location
What to Bring
Guests are welcome to bring their own investigation tools if they wish. Flashlights, audio recorders, cameras, and similar equipment are welcome, though no personal equipment is required to participate.
Important Information
Some investigation locations are not typically open to the public and may include uneven surfaces, stairs, or low lighting conditions.
• Comfortable, non-slip shoes are required.
• All participants must sign a waiver prior to the event.
