Pennsylvania Krampusnacht Festival

Join us for another horrifying holiday experience!

Krampus don’t play!

We’ve searched high & low, turned every rock, scoured the planes and climbed every mountain for the best of the best! This year we bring you your favorite Krampusnacht classics along with loads of new features that are sure to get your bells jingling!

This year we storm the city of Harrisburg and gather on December 5th from 12-8pm at the Zembo Shrine in historic Harrisburg, PA for a frightful holiday celebration that won’t be beat! Live music, interactive cast, delicious food and Krampusnacht games compliment our massive Krampusnacht Kristkindlemarkt full of the area’s most unique alternative vendors, crafters and artists bringing you handcrafted, one-of-a-kind wares for yourself and everyone on your holiday list. Come prepared for a day of festivities like none other!

Bigger, better AND INDOORS. Yes you heard it!

This year’s event is fully indoors with the exception of Gryla’s Grove where you’ll find your favorite Krampusnacht food trucks, fun exhibits, demonstrations and our yuletide viking village featuring the Lehigh Valley Viking Age Combat League and Tales From Valhalla!

Speaking of food, along with your Krampusnacht favs in the grove, the Zembo Shrine will be serving up authentic German fare at the Belsnickel’s BrotHaus & Biergarten located in the main lobby. Come early and come hungry!

Would it be the Pennsylvania Krampsunacht without a costume contest? HELL NO!!!

Once again, attendees are encouraged to arrive in their Krampusnacht high fashion for the Krampusnacht costume contest. Get your glue guns warmed up and sewing machines in gear for another year of killer Krampus cuts! See this year’s categories below.

For all you early birds, the Lehigh Valley Viking Age Combat League will be raiding the day with a good ol’ fashioned Viking Yule and bonus pre-party performances from 11-12am while you wait for the clock to strike noon. See real viking combat, strongman demonstrations, warm yourself by the forge and grab a bite to eat at one of your favorite food trucks. Later return for more demonstrations, performances, fun & games.

PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately we are not able to allow access to the viking grounds prior to 11am. We invite early arrivals to explore nearby Riverfront Park or the Italian Lake Park until grounds are accessible.

This is a rain or shine event barring extreme or dangerous weather. If required, an inclement Weather Date of December 6th will be announced no later than December 4th at 6pm. Each year the child life team puts together beautiful packages for each of the children to open on Christmas morning. These packages come from donations from people like you through drives like this. Below you will find a list requested items provided by their Child Life Team along with a Penn State address for cash donations.

If it’s within your heart to donate please place your donations under the tree in Holly King Hollow at the main entrance to be collected at the conclusion of the event and delivered to Hershey Medical Center before Christmas day.
